Venice cruise port changed dramatically in 2021 — large ships (>25,000 tons) are banned from the historic Marittima terminal + rerouted to Marghera (industrial mainland) or Chioggia (30 km south). This adds shuttle time for pax + shifts the whole logistics. Smaller ships still use Marittima (walkable to Venice). VCE airport is 20 min from either port area.
