Why charter a jet

Time savings

Skip TSA queues, board 15 min before takeoff, land at the airport closest to your final destination — including FBOs commercial flights don't serve.

5,000+ airports

Charters access ~10× the airports of commercial flights. Land at Teterboro for Manhattan, Le Bourget for Paris CBD, Hawthorne for Hollywood.

Group competitive

For 4+ passengers on routes 2–6 hours, charter often costs less than equivalent business-class commercial — and you save 2–4 hours each way.

Frequently asked questions

How does the quote process work?+

Fill in your route, date, and passenger count. Your request goes to two approved charter partners — JetLuxe (API-instant) and Villiers Jets (1–2h response). You receive aircraft options and pricing from both. No payment is required to request a quote, and you choose which broker to book with. AirConnect captures the lead and is paid commission by the partner who closes the trip.

How much does a private jet charter actually cost?+

Charter pricing is per-aircraft (not per-seat). A Light Jet (4–8 pax) on a 2-hour trip typically runs $8,000–14,000. A Mid-Size (7–9 pax) is $12,000–20,000 for the same. A Heavy/Long-Range Jet (10–14 pax, transatlantic-capable) is $50,000–95,000 one-way NYC↔London. For 4+ passengers, charter is often competitive with first/business class — especially when factoring in time savings.

What's an empty leg and how much can I save?+

An empty leg is a one-way repositioning flight a jet has to fly after a paid charter. Operators list these at 50–75% off normal charter rates to recover costs. Example: a $12,000 NYC–Miami light jet might list as an empty leg for $3,000–5,000. The catch is rigid timing — you fly when the operator needs to reposition, not when you choose. Submit a flexible-date enquiry below and brokers will surface live empty legs matching your route.

Can I book any route worldwide?+

Yes. Our partners can charter between any two airports with appropriate runway and customs. This includes major commercial airports (JFK, LHR, DXB, etc.) and private/FBO airports (Teterboro, Le Bourget, Farnborough, Van Nuys, St Barts, etc.). For obscure airports, type the ICAO code (4 letters) instead of IATA. International long-haul charters require passport details + advance customs filing — partners handle this for you.

How fast can I fly?+

For domestic US/EU routes: as fast as 2–4 hours from quote to wheels-up if a jet is available and pre-positioned. For long-haul international: typically 12–24 hours notice, longer if you need a specific aircraft or are flying to a sanctioned/permit-required country. For maximum speed, submit your request, then call the broker directly when they respond — the email-quote loop costs you hours otherwise.

Why use AirConnect rather than going direct?+

You can go direct to either partner. We aggregate the quote so you don't have to submit the same form twice — and we surface the second partner so you can compare quotes side-by-side. AirConnect collects commission from the partner who closes the trip; the price you pay is the same as going direct. We also retain your trip details so future quotes are pre-filled.
