CKG is 21km NE of Chongqing centre. Metro Line 10 direct to airport (opened 2019) — CNY 6-10. DiDi standard at CNY 80-140. Chongqing is the "mountain city" — vertical topography + iconic skyline + hot pot capital. For 6h layovers: Hongyadong + hot pot. For 12+ hours: Hongyadong + Ciqikou Ancient Town + cable car. Note: Chongqing summer (Jun-Sep) hits 40°C+ with high humidity — one of China's "Three Furnaces."
