The real difference
Seat: both are 180-degree lie-flat with direct aisle access and privacy doors (Delta: most A350 and A330-900 flights; Alaska: every 787-9 suite). Delta is adding door suites to its A330-200/300s and debuts a next-generation suite on the A350-1000 in early 2027, with a flat bed more than six and a half feet long and a 24-inch screen.
Dining and bedding: Delta serves chef-curated meals paired with sommelier-selected wines, with Missoni bedding (oversized duvet, large pillow, lumbar pillow that doubles as a mattress pad) and a Missoni amenity kit with Grown Alchemist skincare. Alaska serves a multi-course meal — cheese and charcuterie welcome, an appetizer, then up to six route-specific entrées that can be pre-ordered in the app, and a Salt & Straw sundae cart — with Filson bedding (mattress pad, sleeping pillow, lumbar pillow, oversized duvet) and a Filson amenity bag with Salt & Stone skincare.
Lounges and loyalty: Delta One passengers get Delta One Check-In, Sky Clubs and the Delta One Lounges at JFK, Boston, LAX and Seattle; from 19 January 2027 Basic Business fares no longer include Delta One Lounge access. Delta is in SkyTeam and uses SkyMiles. Alaska's International Business Class includes Alaska's lounges plus oneworld partner lounges worldwide, and oneworld Emerald members get First Class lounges whatever cabin they fly.
