Lombok
Bali's quieter neighbour — Kuta Lombok surf, Mount Rinjani trek + Gili launch pad
Lombok is Bali's less-developed neighbour — Kuta Lombok's pro-surf breaks, Mount Rinjani (3,726m active volcano trek), quiet beaches at Selong Belanak + Mawun, and the springboard to the Gili Islands.
Lombok highlights
Kuta Lombok
The surf town — pro breaks (Desert Point, Gerupuk, Are Guling). Cheaper than Bali's Uluwatu.
Mount Rinjani trek
3,726m active volcano — 2D/1N to Sembalun crater rim, 3D/2N to summit + lake. June-October only.
Selong Belanak Beach
Long crescent white-sand beach — best beginner surf on Lombok.
Sasak villages
Sade + Ende villages — traditional Sasak thatched houses + weaving.
Tiu Kelep + Sendang Gile waterfalls
Twin waterfalls in Rinjani foothills — accessible by scooter or day tour.
Pink Beach (Tangsi)
Lombok's own pink beach — quieter than the Komodo version, longer drive from Kuta.
