Fly to Chiang Mai (CNX) then minivan (3h, ~$5) or bus (4h, ~$3). 762 curves — take motion-sickness pills. Small Pai airport (PYY) has limited flights from Chiang Mai.

Rent a scooter — $6/day. Pai is 500m elevation so the ride is easy but the 762-curve road to get here is not.
