Bahrain Grand Prix 2026
This year's Bahrain Grand Prix is not in Bahrain. The April race at Sakhir was cancelled, and the Grand Prix now runs at Sepang International Circuit in Malaysia on 2–4 October 2026, Formula 1's first race in Malaysia since 2017.
What changed
The Bahrain Grand Prix was due to be held at the Bahrain International Circuit in April 2026 and was cancelled. Formula 1 and the FIA later confirmed that the race keeps the Bahrain Grand Prix name and is held at Sepang instead, between the Azerbaijan and Singapore rounds. If you had planned a trip to Bahrain for the race, check your bookings: the event is now in Malaysia.
