Do airports still have luggage lockers?

How long a layover is worth leaving the airport?
4-6 hours minimum for European hubs where the metro is 15-25 min each way. 6-8 hours for Asian megahubs where airport-to-city is 30-45 min. Under 3 hours: don't leave. Add: immigration lines on arrival (30-60 min at big airports), your walk from arrivals to metro (10-15 min), then the reverse on return. Being on time for your onward flight matters more than the city visit.
Can I leave the airport on a connecting flight?
Yes if you have the right visa/transit visa and if your bags aren't already checked through. Bags: if you self-connected (booked two separate tickets), collect + re-check. If booked as one ticket with a legal connection, bags stay checked — but confirm at the transfer desk before assuming.
