What to bring, and the rules

  • Swimwear. You can rent or buy it there if you forget.
  • You must shower without swimwear before getting in. This is the Icelandic bathing custom, and there are private showers in the changing rooms.
  • Conditioner for long hair: the lagoon recommends putting it on wet hair and leaving it in before you get in, and tying long hair back or wearing a swim cap. Hair that gets wet feels stiff for two or three washes.
  • A towel comes with every ticket, and you collect it as you leave the lagoon.
  • Your bracelet locks your locker and pays for extra drinks and masks.
