Goa has two international airports as of 2026: Dabolim (GOI) — the historic Navy airfield 25km south of Panjim — and the newer Manohar International (MOP, opened 2023) — 35km north near Mopa. Both handle international arrivals; Dabolim is closer to South Goa beaches (Colva, Palolem, Agonda), and Manohar is closer to North Goa (Baga, Calangute, Anjuna, Arambol). Prepaid taxi is the traditional and safest option — INR 700-1,000 to South Goa, INR 1,200-1,800 to North Goa. Book at the prepaid counter inside arrivals; you get a chit + fixed fare, no meter negotiation. Uber operates in Goa but supply is patchy at airports; Ola is more reliable. The airport-only Ride Goa app also works. Renting a scooter (INR 400-700/day) or car (INR 1,500-3,000/day) from the airport is popular for extended stays — but pickup is 15-20 min inside the terminal, not curbside. Uber or Ola at Goa airport?+
Ola generally has more supply at both GOI and MOP than Uber, especially outside peak hours. Uber sometimes has none available late-night. Both GOI + MOP have persistent touts inside the arrivals hall quoting "airport taxi" at INR 1,500-2,500 flat. AVOID these — go directly to the prepaid counter (labeled + staffed), pay by cash/card, get a receipt + chit. Then hand chit to the driver at the marked prepaid rank outside. The system is efficient once you know it exists.
