RER B Train (Cheapest & Fastest)
The RER B is the best-value option, connecting CDG directly to central Paris stations including Gare du Nord, Châtelet-Les Halles, and Saint-Michel. A single Ticket Paris Région ↔ Aéroports costs €14 (~$15 USD) and covers zones 1–5 plus two hours of onward Métro/RER transfers and trains run every 10–15 minutes.
- Follow "RER B / Trains" signs in any CDG terminal.
- Take the free CDGVAL shuttle to Terminal 2 if arriving at T1 or T3.
- Buy a ticket at the automated machines (card or cash).
- Board the RER B toward "Saint-Rémy-lès-Chevreuse" or "Robinson".
- Ride 35–45 minutes to your central Paris stop.

Taxi & Rideshare
Paris taxis from CDG charge flat fares set by ministerial decree: €56 to the Right Bank (north of the Seine) and €65 to the Left Bank. The price is the same day or night and includes luggage, tolls and up to four passengers. No meter haggling — confirm the fixed rate before departure. Journey time varies from 30 to 60 minutes depending on traffic.
Uber is available at CDG from dedicated pick-up zones outside each terminal. Prices range €40–€70 and the app shows the fare upfront. UberXL or Comfort is recommended for families with luggage.

Bus Options
Roissybus was withdrawn on 28 February 2026 after ridership fell about 40% since 2023. Bus 9517 replaced it on 1 March 2026, but it is not a like-for-like swap: it runs to Gare d'Argenteuil via Stade de France–Saint-Denis, Saint-Denis Pleyel (Metro 14) and Carrefour Pleyel (Metro 13), and no longer serves Opéra. It takes a standard €2.05 Bus-Tram ticket.
Le Bus Direct closed in 2020 and does not run. The cheapest ways in are city bus 350 to Porte de la Chapelle (Metro 12) and bus 351 to Nation, both €2.05, about an hour, 2–4 departures per hour. Overnight, Noctilien N140 and N143 run roughly 00:30–05:00 for the same €2.05 with no airport surcharge — N143, via Gare du Nord and Gare de l'Est, is the faster of the two.

Keep phones + wallets in front pockets. RER B goes direct to Gare du Nord, Châtelet, Saint-Michel, Denfert-Rochereau. NOT to Marais or Opéra — you'll need a metro transfer.
Flat-rate taxi is genuinely fair. €56 right bank, €65 left bank, INCLUDES 4 bags, INCLUDES tolls. Marked white cabs only (illuminated TAXI sign, meter visible). Do not accept offers from "chauffeur privé" touts in the arrivals hall — they're unlicensed at €90-120. The rank at T2E is longest queue; T1 rank is fastest.
Uber vs taxi. Uber X + Bolt cheaper than flat-rate taxi off-peak (€45-55). Peak hours (17:00-20:00) Uber surges €70-90 — flat-rate taxi wins. Bolt is usually cheapest but has thinner CDG coverage — check both apps 5 min before you leave arrivals.
Late-night arrivals. RER B stops 00:15. After that: Noctilien N140/N143 bus (€2.05, 60-90 min to Gare de l'Est), or flat-rate taxi (still €56/65). Uber operates 24/7. Skip any offer of "taxi €30" from someone in arrivals — unlicensed cab, ends at €150+ + no recourse.
Terminal navigation. CDG has 3 terminals (T1, T2, T3). Free CDGVAL shuttle connects all three + parking + RER station. Runs every 4 min. Follow "CDGVAL" signs — much faster than the outdoor walkways.
