Paris Charles de Gaulle (CDG) connects to central Paris via the RER B suburban rail — €11.80 one-way (€13 with Métro extension), 25–40 minutes to Gare du Nord, Châtelet–Les Halles, or Saint-Michel–Notre-Dame depending on stop pattern. Trains run every 10–15 minutes between 05:00 and 00:00 from both Terminal 2 (underground station accessible by free CDGVAL light rail from T1) and the standalone Terminal 3 station. CDG also has a TGV station (CDG2 TGV) for direct high-speed rail to Lyon, Marseille, Bordeaux, Strasbourg, Lille and London (Eurostar via interchange at Lille Europe). RER B is the operator-recommended fast option for central Paris; Roissybus is the alternative at €16.60 (60 minutes to Opéra), 24/7-ish; and Le Bus Direct line 2 to Étoile / Trocadéro at €18 is now discontinued, replaced by city bus 350/351 (€2.50, 80–90 min). Avoid taxis to flat-rate central Paris (€55 to right bank, €62 to left bank) only if luggage or accessibility makes RER impractical.
