SPA has now absorbed 18 aircraft previously operated or ordered by AirAsia — including 2 A321LRs (VN-A925 + VN-A926, ex-9M-XVD + 9M-XVF) that never flew a single AirAsia commercial rotation. The remaining question: 9M-XVC and 9M-XVE are still at AirAsia. XVC was stored on 23 July, XVE is currently operating domestic Malaysia rotations. Are these next in the SPA pipeline, or are lessors marketing to Wizz Air / Cebu Pacific first? What do the ch-aviation entries show as of this week?
ch-aviation lists 9M-XVE as still active with AirAsia — no lessor re-marketing filed yet. 9M-XVC has been stored 4+ weeks now which typically precedes a re-marketing filing. Notable point: the SPA pattern has been Aercap + BOC Aviation moving these aircraft — if XVC lands with Air Lease Corp instead, that suggests a different lessee (Wizz UK is the rumoured candidate).
