Runs 24/7, every 4-8 minutes. The fastest route to Manhattan is AirTrain → LIRR (50 min, $19.25). Cheapest is AirTrain → A train at Howard Beach ($11.40, ~75 min).

How long does it take to connect between JFK terminals?+

AirTrain ride between any two terminals is 4-12 minutes plus walking. Inter-terminal transfers typically need 90-150 minutes total: 15-30 min walk to AirTrain platform + ride + 30-45 min security re-check + walk to gate. T4 ↔ T8 is the most common transfer; allow 2 hours minimum. International to domestic at JFK requires re-clearing security regardless of partner relationship.

A $19B private-public rebuild that will replace T1, the demolished T2, and the partially-demolished T3. First arrivals concourse opens 2026; full completion 2030. NTO will house Star Alliance, SkyTeam (some moves from T4), and several non-aligned international carriers. The existing T1 and T7 will progressively close as NTO opens.
