How long do I need for a Munich terminal transfer?+
T1 ↔ T2: 10-15 min walk via Terminal Centre + re-security (both airsides are separate). T2 ↔ T2 Satellit: 4-min APM train inside security. Minimum connection times: 35 min same terminal, 45 min T2 ↔ T2S, 90 min T1 ↔ T2. Lufthansa is reliable for tight connections — they hold connecting flights for delayed feeders when possible.

Airbräu — the world's only on-site airport brewery, located in the Terminal Centre (between T1 and T2). Open daily, free entry, brews its own seasonal Helles + Weissbier on-site. Outdoor beer garden with views of the apron. A must-visit during any MUC layover, especially Oktoberfest season (late September to early October).

Yes — Germany is in Schengen, so EU/UK/US/Canadian/Japanese/Australian/Korean + 60+ other passport holders enter visa-free. S-Bahn 40 min each way to centre. Allow 4 hours minimum round trip. Quick layover ideas: visit BMW Welt (free, near Olympiapark, 30 min from airport), Marienplatz Christmas market (Nov-Dec), or just hit Airbräu in the terminal.
How early should I arrive at Munich Airport?+
Schengen: 90 min. Non-Schengen: 2-2.5 hours. Munich security is famously efficient — typically 15-25 min waits even at peak. Fast Track sold per terminal (€10-€15) or free with Lufthansa Senator + Star Gold. The T2 Satellit train adds 10 min — factor that into your timing.
